• Who formulate ButterMEssentials products? Our products are made by our mixologist Negesti Pinnock.  She is a certified Holistic Herbal specialist in these areas (Hair, Skin, eczema, facial, herbal teas, essential oil, aromatherapy.  Negesti is also a Herbalist, Iridologist, Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Master Perfumer.  
  • How do I use lotion bars? Rub lotion between your hands or directly on your dry skin, it will melt upon contact of the heat of your skin. Lotion bars are made of natural butters and oils. keep your bar in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. 

  • How do I use the Shampoo bars? Wet your hair & wet both sides and rub the shampoo bar glide the bar up, down, side to side until you get a rich lather. Rinse out, then condition or use any of our styling products.

  • What is African black soap good for? Black soap is good for acne, oily, can be used Asa a gentle exfoliating soap? This soap can be very soothing. Black soap helps in reducing irritation from rashes and skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. The ashes used in black soap have been used as a traditional folk treatment for skin irritation. Black soap can be used by people with sensitive skin.

  • How long does it take to see results from ButterMEssentials products? It usually take up to 3 to 6 weeks.  However, we ask you to give about 90 days or 3 months to see the best results.  Everyones results may vary, some faster than others to see results.  You must be using the products consistently and correctly. 
  • Do you make unscented products? We sure do. You will notice that when you pick some of our products it will give you an option to either pick the fragrance you would like or unscented. We also do speciality orders which cost a different fee. Specialty orders are sent through ButterMEssentials email which is buttermessentials@yahoo.com.
  • How long will my products last? / What preservatives do you use?
    Preservatives & Shelf Life: ButterMEssentials hair, bath and body handmade products strive to use the most gentle and natural preservatives as possible. Most of our products that have a water base we use a percentage of 0.5%-1% paraben-free broad-spectrum cosmetic preservative Optiphen as our preservative. These products will last up to 1 year. Many of our products that are not water based.  
  • Can I use ButterMEssentials products if I am pregnant? Yes, because our products is made with natural oils, butter, safe ingredients.  However, we do recommend that you speak with your physician before trying any products.
  • Is ButterMEssentials products safe to use on my child/children?
    Oh yes, our products are made with all natural butters, herbs and that are very beneficial and full of natural ingredients. Many of our customers use ButterMEssentials products on their infants and small children, even our mixtress uses these products on her infant, toddlers and school age children. You should always do a patch test before you use any of our products to make sure you have no allergic reaction.
  • My particular product seems softer, harder, firmer, scent smells milder or stronger what is going on with this product?
    here can be a small difference if possible from batch to batch when making handmade products. Please remember that our products are made by people and not machines. All natural products can slightly vary from batch to batch or depending on season. Please be assure that we and our suppliers work to make sure that you get the best quality ingredients and products.
  • How often do I use ButterMEssentials products?  You can use our products everyday.   The use of our products vary according to your hair type or your styling method.  The best way to use our product is up to 3-4 times a week for best results.
  •  Can ButterMEssentials be used on all hair &  Skin types?  Oh yes, our products is great for afro-textured hair, curly, wavy, straight and oily hair types.  Our skin care products made for normal, dry, oily, sensitive and combination skin.  Our product are formulated with the most amazing and nourishing Natural & Organic ingredients for your hair and skin. 
  •  If I have sensitive scalp & skin can I use ButterMEssentials products? Yes, our products can be used on both sensitive scalp & skin.  Our recommendation is that you do a patch test before using any product.
  • Do ButterMEssentials ship International? Yes, *All international customers are responsible for all customs and duty fees that are incurred during transit*

  • Can I cancel or change my order?  Once your order is placed, it cannot be changed.  The only thing we can do is cancel your order for you, as per your request. This request has to be either sent in writing the same day as your order or you can call in the same day to make this request.  If you make a request in writing and there is no reply within 24 hours please call us. When an order is processed, a shipping confirmation email will be sent to you.  please note order confirmation number is different from the shipping confirmation number.  Once the shipping confirmation is provided then it is too late to change the order.
  • If I place multiple orders on the same day or the day after can I put the orders into one package instead of multiple? No, once the individual orders are placed we cannot merge them. however, you can cancel the orders before the shipping confirmation is done. As long as shipping confirmation is sent you cannot cancel the order.  Remember to contact our customer service department at sales@buttermessentials.com or buttermessentials@yahoo.com. We will gladly help you with your order. 

  • Can I return my order? Yes, you have a right. to return any product within 10 days after the point of sale. The product(s) that you are returning must be in the original packing & sealants condition, this way it can be resold to ensure quality for a full refund. Any products that is returned opened is not eligible under ButterMEssentials return policy due to hygiene reasons.
  • PLEASE NOTE: The original shipping costs is non-refundable, and we do not cover any costs for shipping and handling charges or return shipping.
  • How long will my order take? Please allow up to two weeks processing time before your order  to be shipped, due to this because it has to come through our customer system. All our products are made and shipped fresh upon your order. After we have confirmed your order, an email confirmation will be sent out to you. Then shipping confirmation will be sent to your email stating that your order is being shipped out. will receive an email confirmation when your order is shipped out. International we have to prepare customs forms. We ship domestic orders using USPS Priority Mail, which takes 3-5 business days in transit. Remember that international orders have a longer time and it also depends on the destination. We are so sorry that we cannot do rush orders. 
  • Can I add something to my order? Changing my shipping address?
    We can only ship according to information that is given to us on our website. We cannot make any changes to your shipping address once your order is made and confirmed. To avoid delays in your order processing, please double check the contents of the shopping cart and the shipping information before you complete your order.

  • Can you ship outside the US? To a military base?
    Yes we do.

  • My order is is missing an item/damaged/ or incorrect item.
    We truly apologize.  We know that is can be such an inconvenience to you. However, we can fix this issue for you.  This is what you can do report this to our customer service department and file a compliant or you can contact us via our website. Soon as you do this we will get back to you as soon as possible. 


  • What do I do if I do not see any results? ButterMEssentials products is created to get results.  Our goal and commitment is to help you reach your haircare goals. We now that it does take some time four some people to see results. There are some customers that take 1 month and see results, however, there are others that need 3 months to see noticeable changes in your hair growth or volume.  Like we said before some will see results faster. ButterMEssentials has a track record and have confidents that using our products. you will at least see some kind of visible progress using the product correctly and consistently. If you are using our products consistently and correctly not with another brand for 90 days you should get results.
  • How do I receive my money back guarantee? After you have completed and sent in our questionnaire form.  Then we review and our team prove that you are qualified.  your money back guarantee will be refunded back to your account.  Please note, depending on your banking system refund may take longer to reach your account. 
  •  What is the qualification for the Money Back Guarantee? The qualification for the Money Back Guarantee is as follow:
  1. After you have recieved your order, the 90 days start the 1st day of our 90 days journey. Soon as your 90 days is complete then you can make your claim.
